Shania Twain has disclosed that she had to decline an invitation to Taylor Swift's wedding to perform alongside Harry Styles at his sold-out Wembley Stadium concerts.
The 60-year-old singer served as the opening act for Styles during his 12-night London residency, which took place from June 12 to July 4, as part of his Together, Together tour. Twain's commitment to these performances meant she couldn't attend Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden on July 3.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said, "I was very honored to be invited to Taylor's wedding, and next time I see her, I will of course give her a big congratulations. I admire her musicianship and her commitment to telling her stories. I love her."

Before the Wembley performances, Twain had shared the stage with Swift's former boyfriend Styles at Coachella in 2022 and the Brit Awards in 2023. Discussing their first meeting, she said, "I met Harry backstage at a very small show, and we chatted for a little bit.
"He was still just getting going; he wasn't the Harry he is now. We exchanged numbers and he called me a little bit later and said, 'It's my mum's birthday coming up, would you mind wishing her a happy birthday because she's the person who introduced me to your music?'"

Twain gladly sang happy birthday to Styles's mother over the phone, and the two musicians have remained in contact ever since. The Canadian artist appeared on the talk show to discuss her upcoming album, Little Miss Twain, set for release on July 24.
Styles and Swift dated from 2012 to 2013. Reflecting on their past relationship during an interview on CTV's Etalk, Twain said, "It's just kind of funny that that happened that way."
Swift and Kelce reportedly welcomed 1,000 guests to their wedding, with a star-studded guest list that included Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Graham Norton, Ed Sheeran, Hugh Grant, and Ethan Hawke. A billboard positioned outside the venue displayed the message "JUST&T MARRIED" following the ceremony.

The couple's love story began in 2023 after Kelce publicly announced on his podcast that he was interested in Swift, a gesture she later described as a "wild, romantic gesture."
In October 2025, Swift made her first television appearance since her engagement on Graham Norton's BBC talk show, where she playfully told the host she planned to invite "anyone I've ever talked to" to her wedding.
Styles is currently romantically linked to Zoe Kravitz, with the pair first reported to be an item in August 2025.
