Larry David shares two daughters with his ex-wife, Laurie David

They welcomed Cazzie in 1994 and Romy in 1996

Seinfeld co-creator Larry David is a proud girl dad.

The comedian shares daughters Cazzie and Romy with his ex-wife, Laurie David. Both were born while Seinfeld was still on the air in the ‘90s.

Larry has long shared a close bond with his daughters — and, true to form, isn’t above making them the butt of a joke.

“I have a wonderful relationship with my daughters. At least, I do on my end. I don’t know how they feel,” he joked to The Irish Independent in June 2009.

In recent years, Cazzie and Romy have continued to cheer on their dad’s career. Cazzie joined Larry at the Los Angeles premiere of Life, Larry and The Pursuit of Unhappiness in June 2026, and the following month, the father-daughter duo appeared on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? together.

Here’s everything to know about Larry David’s kids, daughters Cazzie and Romy.

Cazzie was born in May 1994

Cazzie was born in Boston on May 10, 1994. Her New York Knicks-fanatic dad drew some inspiration from the team when naming his firstborn, borrowing her moniker from NBA star Cazzie Russell.

“I was named after a basketball player on the Knicks,” she told Coveteur in 2017. “My dad is that much of a Knicks fan that he had to give me the craziest name ever.”

Romy was born in March 1996

Romy was born two years after Cazzie on March 2, 1996.

On his relationship with his daughters, Larry said his downfall is saying “no” to the pair.

“I think about this a lot ― whether or not I’m a good father,” he told The Guardian in June 2010. “Sometimes I think I’m a terrible father. I don’t really have a spine. In my physical make-up ― you won’t find one in my X-ray. I have trouble saying no to people, so anything a kid would ask, I’ll just say yes to.”

Cazzie and Romy have both acted

Cazzie and Romy both followed in their father’s footsteps early on.

The sisters made their first on-screen appearance in a 2007 episode of Hannah Montana. They made a cameo with their famous dad as they tried to get a reservation at a restaurant — only to get beat out by Hannah herself.

Cazzie went on to play Jayme Hargreeves in season 3 of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy in 2022 before directing and starring in 2024’s I Love You Forever.

After her Hannah Montana cameo, Cazzie largely grew up out of the public eye, attending Emerson College in Boston, where she studied writing for TV and film.

Then, in 2020, Cazzie released her best-selling collection of personal essays, cheekily titled No One Asked For This. During a virtual appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Cazzie described the book as a reflection of “anxiety and oversharing.”

“It might be presumptuous for me to assume that anyone could take anything away [from it]. I hope they enjoy it or relate to it,” she told host Seth Meyers. “You know, we’re the most anxious generation of all time, and thanks to social media, we love to overshare, so I would say anxiety and oversharing kind of sums up my book. I hope people can connect to it because of that.”

Her second book of personal essays, Delusions, hit bookshelves in March 2026.

Cazzie is also a columnist for Air Mail, writing personal essays on topics including social media trends and fast fashion.

Romy is an oral historian

Romy attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Following her graduation, she interned at the White House during Barack Obama‘s presidency and later became an associate producer at MSNBC.

She earned her master’s degree in oral history at Columbia University in New York City, and went on to launch The First Chapter, a company dedicated to preserving women’s birth stories through oral history interviews.

Cazzie previously dated Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson

In her essays, Cazzie has been candid about her family life, mental health and her highly-publicized relationship with former SNL member Pete Davidson. The couple dated for nearly two and a half years before calling it quits in 2018.

“[She’s a] very talented girl, she’ll be great and she’ll be fine,” Davidson said of Cazzie at the time of their split. “Yeah, I think she’ll be okay.”

However, the breakup was difficult for Cazzie, as she detailed in her book. The actress wrote that she broke up with Davidson after struggling to convince him that she really loved him, per the Los Angeles Times.

Cazzie also revealed that she found out about Davidson’s relationship with Ariana Grande just a few days after their split while on a flight to her sister’s graduation. Thankfully, her dad was right by her side. She recalled being held by Larry as she “shook uncontrollably in his arms for the entire flight.”

“Cazzie, come on! Your ancestors survived the Holocaust,” Larry reportedly said while consoling her, per the L.A. Times.

Cazzie said that she takes after her dad and Romy is similar to their mom

In an October 2017 interview with W Magazine, Cazzie shared that she and her father are alike.

“My sister and mom are very similar, and my dad and I are very similar. Both my parents are extremely neurotic in different ways,” she told the outlet. “It was an interesting household, but nothing out of the ordinary.”

She also admitted that her dad’s beloved HBO show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, is one of her favorite TV shows.

“It’s my favorite show; how embarrassing is that?” she said, adding, “I have to hide if I’m watching it when someone is coming over. It’s so weird if I’m watching it.”

Romy and Cazzie have a strong sibling bond

Romy and Cazzie are very close, though like many siblings, they occasionally squabble. Cazzie commented on their relationship during a June 2022 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, explaining that she normally stays with her sister when she visits N.Y.C.

“So, I’ve been staying with my sister anytime I come to New York. And, like, the level of fighting is just unbearable, and it’s about, like, the tiniest — this happened actually last night,” she told Meyers.

Cazzie continued, “I’m in her bedroom, right? We’re, like, getting ready to go to sleep. And I go to get myself a glass of water, and then she calls out like, ‘Hey, can you get me a glass of water too?,’ which is fine, but then she goes, ‘No, can you come here and get my glass?’ ”

Cazzie then explained to Meyers that as she went into the bedroom to retrieve Romy’s glass, the glass was already filled with water, which she then proceeded to slowly drink while Cazzie stood waiting to fill it back up again.

“And it ended with, like, us truly yelling at each other that we wish the other wasn’t even born,” she added.
