Alan Ritchson was caught on video getting into a physical fight with a neighbor on March 22.
The neighbor was angry with the actor for how fast he was riding through the area on his motorbike.
Police concluded that they would bring no criminal charges against Ritchson, as he was acting in "self-defense."
Alan Ritchson is quickly becoming a household name, thanks primarily to his leading role on Prime Video's bone-crunching hit series Reacher.
In 2023, the actor and his wife, Catherine, sold their Florida home so she and their three sons could stay with him as he traveled from set to set. As Ritchson put it in a Wall Street Journal profile from that year, he and his family had been living "on the road," bouncing between Airbnbs and hotels as he worked. Nomadic lifestyles, however, still come with neighbors, and the barrel-chested, 6-foot-3-inch star is currently making headlines for a recent dustup with one.
In late March, Ritchson was involved in a highly-publicized clash with Ronnie Taylor, a neighbor of the actor's in Brentwood, Tenn. Video footage shows their argument escalating into a physical confrontation. Police said Ritchson was acting in "self-defense."
Here's everything to know about the incident, including what actually happened and whether Ritchson could face any legal consequences.

Taylor claimed to TMZ that the drama started on Saturday, March 21. According to Taylor, the War Machine actor was allegedly revving the engine of his green Kawasaki bike in their neighborhood. Taylor flipped him off, and alleged that Ritchson returned the gesture.
The next day, Taylor said he confronted Ritchson again, who was out riding motorbikes with two of his kids. Taylor reportedly asked the actor to "f--king stop this please," and that's when the situation turned physical.
"He rode past once, twice. On the second time I walked outside in front of him and said, 'You've got to stop,'" he said in an interview with TMZ. Taylor later admitted to pushing Ritchson multiple times, which is what sparked the physical clash.
Video footage from a nearby home appears to capture Taylor on the ground as Ritchson punches him several times, all while his kids watch from their bikes. Taylor said Ritchson "kicked the crap" out of him.
Taylor accused Ritchson of leaving him with bruises and swelling, and shared photos of his injuries with TMZ. He also said he reported everything to the police.
"I don't really wish the guy any malice or ill will, but we just don't need people riding through neighborhoods like this," Taylor told TMZ. "I just decided I'm going to take a stand because someone has to, or it's going to end up way worse."

Ritchson hasn't directly addressed the weekend scuffle, but some believe he alluded to it in a recent social media post.
"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake," Ritchson shared via Instagram Monday night. The quote is attributed to Napoléon Bonaparte, one-time Emperor of the French.
Though he doesn't mention the incident specifically, commenters are responding as if it's related to the clash.

"We're all on your side bro... defending yourself and your children," reads a reply from one user.
Another wrote, "People always hide behind their own weakness and blame others but not this time. Full picture is visible and if you come for me in front of my family I'll give it back with interest. You did what you should & some people tried to do harm by showing half cooked story. More power to you."

Despite Taylor's version of events, sources close to Ritchson told TMZ that he was trying to keep things calm, and that Taylor "initiated and instigated" the whole situation. The source also accused Taylor of daring Ritchson to hit him while he was still on the ground. Ritchson reportedly tried to defuse the situation by getting back on his bike until Taylor shoved him.
On Tuesday, March 24, a new video surfaced online that reportedly comes from Ritchson's bodycam. The footage appears to show the actor riding through the neighborhood when Taylor steps into the street, blocking his way. Ritchson swerves to avoid him and ends up falling off his bike.
Ritchson storms up to Taylor, asking if he's "out of [his] f--king mind." Taylor fires back, accusing Ritchson of "driving around like a f--king lunatic!”
The actor walks away and gets back on his bike, but Taylor doesn't let up, shouting and cursing at him. When he tries to ride off, Taylor moves in front of the bike, daring Ritchson to "run me over."
Ritchson tells Taylor to move. Taylor says no, telling Ritchson to move instead.
The standoff then turns physical, and Taylor is seen on the ground. Shortly after, Ritchson rides off with his sons following behind.

On Tuesday, Brentwood Police Capt. Steve Pepin confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that an investigation was opened but that no arrests had been made.
Later that day, Pepin told EW that the investigation was wrapped up and Ritchson wouldn't be facing any criminal charges. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued. Mr. Ritchson's actions were found to be in self-defense," he explained.
The captain also noted that while a "potential reckless endangerment charge was considered," Ritchson ultimately "declined to pursue charges" against Taylor. "With the agreement of the District Attorney’s Office, the case is now closed, and no further action will be taken."
EW has reached out to representatives for Ritchson and to Taylor for comment.
