While Demi Moore has become synonymous with her long, shiny hair, the actor debuted her shortest hair transformation in years during New York Fashion Week this week, and it’s safe to say we have a new image on our inspiration board.

Stepping out at the Thom Browne spring/summer 2027 runway show, the 63-year-old showed off a new hairstyle, which sits somewhere between a chin-grazing and micro bob haircut.

It’s a perfect style for those who identify with sleek, clean lines; it’s much shorter than the Birkin cut, but with a polished, grown-up vibe that’s still more wearable—and easier to maintain—than an even more severe length.

Moore styled her new haircut with an all-black look, which stretched as far as her statement glasses. She softened her black bomber jacket and tie combination with sheer lace details, calf-length stockings, and an organza skirt.

If you’re keen to try the hairstyle out for yourself, ELLE previously spoke to Reece Wentworth, stylist at Blue Tit salon, about how chin-length doesn’t always have to end strictly around your chin. “It’s more about where it balances with the client’s neck and jawline,” he said. “I aim to enhance a client’s strongest features and let the haircut bring those out.”

Like most short hairdos, it does take extra time to maintain the cut—but as Moore proves, the results are more than worth it. “I always suggest clients rebook their next appointment right after the cut to maintain that fresh look,” says Wentworth. “The timeline varies, but generally, every eight to 10 weeks is a good window to keep the shape sharp and on point.”
