- Jack Antonoff was asked if he had plans to attend any weddings when his band Bleachers appeared Friday on *Today*.
- The musician is known to work closely with Taylor Swift, who's engaged to NFL player Travis Kelce.
- Antonoff dodged the question and finally told anchor Craig Melvin no.
Well, that didn't quite go as planned.
Producer and singer Jack Antonoff was asked about Taylor Swift's wedding to NFL player Travis Kelce during his appearance Friday on *Today*. Only not directly.
"Are you going to any big weddings this summer?" co-anchor Craig Melvin asked the Grammy winner when his band, Bleachers, performed Friday as part of the show's Summer Concert Series.

"I hope," Antonoff answered. "Yeah, I hope so, man."
Melvin made the next move: "Where?"
"Oh, no, no, no," Antonoff answered, breaking into laughter. He knew where the conversation was headed.
"Yeah, I love being married, man," he added diplomatically. "I'm happy you love it too."
Melvin pretended to be disappointed. "That's all you're gonna give me, huh?" he said.
Antonoff then asked cheekily, "Did we just have a moment?"
Bleachers had performed their song "Dirty Wedding Dress," which was inspired by Antonoff's own nuptials to *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood* actress Margaret Qualley. Melvin had used the song title as a way of broaching the subject of weddings.
But Melvin had to know that Antonoff wouldn't let any information slip about his very famous longtime friend and collaborator.

The two worked together for the first time on the song "Sweeter Than Fiction" in 2013. Swift then enlisted Antonoff to produce several songs on her 2014 hit album, *1989*. They've gone on create songs on multiple albums, such as *Lover*, *Evermore*, and *Folklore*.
And he's written on social media, via PEOPLE, that there's "nothing better than taylor," both "the artist and the person."
Swift announced last August that she and Kelce would soon walk down the aisle after two years of dating.

Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff perform together in 2024.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Swift wrote. Her words accompanied a close-up image of her engagement ring, which her rep told ** was designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
The couple began dating after Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, said on his *New Heights* podcast in July 2023 that he had attempted to reach the singer, via a homemade friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, when her popular Eras Tour visited Kansas City.
The event is already highly anticipated. Just as Antonoff was dealing with the wedding question, Prince William was asked on the U.K. radio show *Heart Breakfast** *if he had received an invitation to the nuptials.
"No comment," he said. "I'm hoping, and I'm sure there might be an invitation around but we'll see."
