Joy Behar pulled in Star Trek actor Anson Mount for a long kiss on the lips live on The View.
The 83-year-old panelist and Mount spent the next few seconds wiping smudged makeup off their faces.
“I’m old, but I’m not dead,” Behar said after, while Mount later reminded the comedian that he “got married” since the last time he saw her.
Joy Behar shocked The View Wednesday morning upon pulling in married interview guest Anson Mount for a long kiss on the lips live on the air.
The occurrence, which led to surprised panelist Sara Haines rising to her feet, happened shortly after the Star Trek actor walked out from backstage.
Mount approached moderator Whoopi Goldberg and Haines for a greeting as the audience applauded, but when he got to 83-year-old Behar, she embraced him and went in for a kiss on the cheek. Behar then puckered her lips for a peck on the mouth, and when Mount leaned in, her left arm reached around his right side, appearing to pull him in for a longer, more passionate kiss.

The actor kicked up his leg in the moment, before proceeding to greet the other cohosts at the table. When he settled into his chair, the audience and cohosts chuckled as it became clear that a streak of Behar’s lipstick was smudged over his face.
Sunny Hostin handed Mount a tissue as Behar quipped, “I’m old, but I’m not dead,” amid Hostin revealing that Behar had been talking about Mount’s upcoming appearance “all morning” before the show aired.
In response to Behar’s joke, Mount said, “That’s it, Joy, because I am,” while Goldberg attempted to get the interview on track.
“This year marks the... are you okay?” she said, asking Behar if she required a moment to collect herself. Behar responded, “I need a little bit of a touch-up. Last time he was here, he brought me flowers for my birthday, and it’s never been the same between us.”

Mount reminded her, “I got married, so...” while the comedian clapped back, “That’s what I mean!”
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for The View and Mount — who married photographer Darah Trang in 2018 — for comment on the kiss.

The moment came weeks after Behar earlier made a sexual joke about The View producer Brian Teta on the air during an interview with Summer House reality personality Kyle Cooke.
“During the [Summer House] reunion, viewers were shocked that you and [ex] Amanda had not been intimate for four years,” Behar said, turning her attention to Teta as she joked, “Kind of like Brian.”
