King Charles and Prince William are reportedly locked in a “real battle” over Prince Harry. The king finally reunited with his younger son, along with Meghan Markle and their children, on July 10. The meeting marked a significant step toward reconciliation, as it was the Sussexes’ first time meeting the monarch in nearly four years.

While Charles reportedly wants William and Harry to reconcile, the Prince of Wales is said to have no interest in doing so. This has allegedly created a growing rift between the father and son duo over the issue.

King Charles is reportedly adamant that he will not take a backseat this time when it comes to Prince William and Prince Harry. The brothers, who were once very close, have not spoken to each other in nearly four years. However, following the 2026 reunion between the Sussexes and the king, things appear to be shifting within the royal fold.

A report by Closer Online suggests that Charles wants the brothers to reconcile. However, William allegedly has no interest in mending his relationship with Harry. Until now, the king had largely taken a backseat regarding the ongoing feud between the Waleses and Sussexes. However, sources now claim that he is furious with William for not “falling into line.”

The insider claimed, “It’s become a real battle because Charles believes it’s time for William to let this go. He’s made his decision to make peace with Harry and Meghan, and, in his assessment, everyone, including William, should fall in line. After all, he is the King.”

However, William reportedly remains convinced that his father has been manipulated into all of this. This has allegedly made Charles even more frustrated. The king apparently feels that William no longer trusts his judgment.

Charles has reportedly stopped briefing William about his interactions with Harry. This has allegedly made things increasingly difficult for senior royals whose loyalties lie with both the king and the Prince of Wales.

The source claimed that Charles insists that his conversations with Harry are private. This has reportedly made William more convinced that the Sussexes are working their way back into Charles’ inner circle.
