The long-awaited reunion between the Sussexes and the King finally took place on July 10. The much-awaited reunion took place at Highgrove House and was kept highly discreet. The King was accompanied by Queen Camilla, while William and Kate Middleton did not attend.

Charles has taken the first step toward repairing his relationship with his younger son. However, William reportedly has no intention of doing the same. The brothers have not spoken in years. Moreover, William has shown no signs that he wants to mend his relationship with Harry.

Charles allegedly believes William should let go of the past. Plus, he should make peace with Harry and Meghan Markle. He reportedly feels that William should “fall in line.” His refusal to do so has led Charles to make a harsh personal assessment of his eldest son.

The insider added, “Charles also takes huge offence to William telling people that he’s going to get taken advantage of. That’s incredibly insulting because it implies that he’s somehow lost his edge and can’t see when he’s being played for a fool, which he says is absolutely ridiculous and not true in the slightest.”

According to the source, Charles is convinced that reconnecting with Harry was the right decision, saying he does not want his legacy to be remembered for bitterness or family conflict.
