Huda Mustafa has made the move from reality TV star to singer, but not everyone's a fan.

The 25-year-old dropped a new single called Bad Girls along with a music video on Friday. The video is packed with many eye-catching visuals, including a clip in which her hair grows infinitely long as she sits in an office chair. Other moments include her crawling across a boardroom table, dancing on a receptionist desk and sitting on the floor in a room of dismantled computers. It all culminates in her sitting on a desk as a woman runs in with a sword, electrical cords falling from the ceiling spark and papers fly all over the room.

The chaotic environment of the music video served as a counter to the slow R&B pace of the song but match what fans call the "Instagram caption" style lyrics.

The song didn't go over well with everyone as many took to X to air their complaints.

"we have to stop letting everyone think they can be a singer cause what is this," one wrote.

"She looks so lazy. Like she doesn’t even wanna be doing it. It reminds me of Kim Zolciak doing the least while performing," another said while a third complained, "What is she even saying ... we went from mumble rap to mumble singing."

"sorry but i had to mute while i scrolled through the comments.. her voice is nice but the song itself and the lyrics are soo trash, no way yall would genuinely sit and listen to this day to day," a fourth wrote.

However, some disagreed and claimed that despite her recent controversy, they felt the song and the music video were a hit.

"I fear she 8 that. You don't even have to like her to admit it," one wrote.

"I’m mad I like this lol cus I heard she’s a horrible person," another claimed.

Still, more people couldn't get past the racism controversy she was embroiled in Fall 2025 when she was accused of laughing as a fan called her former co-castmate Olandria Carthen the n-word during one of her livestreams.

"Promoting a racist who tried to hurt a mother and baby is a choice," one wrote.

"So yall have no issue with her racist comments and behavior towards Olandria? Oh good to know," another said.

After facing backlash, she issued an apology.

It read, "I want to begin by saying I completely respect Olandria and it's extremely disheartening that anyone."

Elsewhere in the apology, she addressed why she laughed over the comment.

"I apologize for my immediate reaction. My reaction in that moment came from being caught off guard, not from finding the word or situation funny. It was a nervous, uncomfortable reaction that I recognize was inappropriate," she said.

Despite the apology, her career took a hit and she lost her partnership with Huda Beauty.

In the meantime, she also started dating Netflix reality TV star Louis Russell. However, just a few days ago, the two reportedly called it quits after nine months.
