Natalya’s quest to settle her rivalry with Jaida Parker took another dramatic turn on the July 21 episode of WWE NXT.

After weeks of escalating tension between the two competitors, their highly anticipated rematch ended in controversial fashion following an unexpected intervention at ringside.

The finish not only handed Parker a measure of revenge, but it also reshaped the rivalry in a way few saw coming.

The rematch came one month after Natalya forced Parker to submit with the Sharpshooter on the June 16 edition of NXT. Since then, the rivalry had intensified through backstage confrontations, heated exchanges and Parker’s invasion of the legendary Hart Dungeon.

Natalya entered the match with Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic in her corner, but Parker controlled much of the early action. Lyons and Petrovic briefly shifted the momentum by pulling Parker out of the ring, allowing the WWE veteran to target her opponent’s injured knee.

Despite battling through the damage, Parker stayed in the fight. She countered a suplex into a Falcon Arrow before Natalya regained control and attempted to finish the match with her trademark Sharpshooter.

The momentum shifted one final time when Parker reversed the hold and locked Natalya in the Sharpshooter herself. With Natalya trapped in the center of the ring, Petrovic considered throwing in the towel before Lyons stopped her.

That hesitation proved costly.

Thea Hail suddenly rushed to the ringside, grabbed the towel from Natalya’s allies and tossed it into the ring. Believing it had come from Natalya’s corner, the referee immediately stopped the match and awarded Parker the victory by submission.

Following the bell, Parker and Hail celebrated together while mocking Natalya, Lyons and Petrovic, hinting at a new alliance in the NXT women’s division.

For Parker, the win evened the score in her rivalry with the WWE veteran. For Natalya, it was a bitter reminder that sometimes the biggest obstacle isn’t the opponent across the ring — it’s what happens outside the ropes.
