*Saturday Night Live* alum Pete Davidson and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt are now the proud parents of a baby girl.

Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson was born last week, they announced Thursday.

"Our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025," Hewitt, 29, captioned several images of the family. "My best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief."

The model and actress added a message from Davidson, 32: "wu tang forever."

The photos depicted the parents holding their daughter, whose face they covered with a heart, and marveling at her small size.

As PEOPLE noted, there's much meaning behind the little one's name. Scottie is a tribute to Davidson's late father, Scott, a New York City firefighter who was killed while responding to the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. In a nod to Hewitt, Scottie was given her mom's middle name of Rose.

The couple has dated publicly since March, and Hewitt revealed in July that they were expecting.

Davidson, who's been open about wanting to be a father since his own dad died when he was just seven, was ecstatic.

"Everybody's just been superexcited for me, because they know it's been my dream," the *King of Staten Island* star told E! News just after the announcement. "I'm very lucky and very, very happy."

Even before the baby news, Davidson had said having a child was "my dream."

Davidson's former *SNL* costar Kenan Thompson was relieved to hear it when Davidson shared his happy news.

"I hope that they have a wonderful, bonded parenting experience," Thompson told *Parade* in August. "I think he's going to be a hyper-dedicated dad because he has such an affinity towards his dad. I think his dad being taken from him at such a young age has really stuck with him. So, I think he'll be an ever-present father. I really do."

A source told PEOPLE in September that both Davidson and Hewitt were "doing great" and "so excited about becoming parents."

The insider added, "Pete's been preparing in every way he can, from helping get the nursery ready to making sure Elsie feels supported every step of the way, and it's clear how much he’s looking forward to fatherhood."

The actor, who's also appeared in the movies *Bodies Bodies Bodies*; *Trainwreck*; *Fast X*; and *The Suicide Squad*, charmed Hewitt from the start.

"When we went on our first date," she told Bumble earlier this year, per PEOPLE, "we went out to dinner for the first time, I was like, 'Okay, don't think that I'm crazy, but I just know you're going to be the father of my children. And he was like, 'Yeah.'"**
