The claim follows the couple’s recent private visit to the United Kingdom, which has fueled fresh speculation about reconciliation behind palace doors. Insiders now allege Harry thinks a different approach is needed if they want to keep rebuilding trust with the royal family.

Reports suggest Prince Harry believes he and Meghan Markle may need to step away from their usual way of doing things. The couple has long stood together through public criticism and royal disputes. However, an insider now claims that approach could make reconciliation more difficult.

The alleged shift comes after the Sussexes’ recent private trip to the U.K. Harry and Markle were understood to be joined by Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet for a family reunion that was kept out of the spotlight. No official photographs were released, and Markle’s social media also remained unusually quiet.

According to a source who spoke with Closer Online, that was no coincidence. The insider claimed Harry wants to show he can respect his father’s wishes by keeping family matters private. He is also reportedly trying to avoid the kind of public attention that previously strained relations with the royal family.

Still, that has allegedly created a difficult situation at home. “Harry is in a very awkward position because he’s now got to find a way to abide by his father’s wishes without completely sacrificing his own values or making his wife feel like she’s not being heard,” the source claimed.

According to the insider, Harry is not asking Markle to stop being outspoken. If anything, he is said to feel this particular situation requires a different balance. “It’s not been easy because he and Meghan usually operate as a team,” the source claimed. “But in this case the only option is for her to take a back seat.”

The insider added that Harry is “very proud” of Markle and has no intention of changing who she is. However, they claimed the seriousness of the situation means they cannot handle it the way they have previously.

Needless to say, that would mark a significant change for the couple.
