Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kathryn Newton were evacuated from a Paris hotel on Wednesday due to a fire that broke out in the kitchens of its restaurant.

"The fire that broke out today at 1 1:00 am at Le Bristol Paris, in the kitchens of the 114 Faubourg restaurant, has now been fully contained and extinguished," a representative for the hotel confirmed to EW.

Guests and staff who were evacuated while a Ready or Not 2 press junket was underway have all been marked as safe, and have returned to the hotel.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kathryn Newton were evacuated from a Paris hotel while promoting Ready or Not 2: Here I Come on Wednesday.

A representative for Le Bristol Paris confirmed to Entertainment Weekly at 9:35 p.m. Paris time that all the hotel's guests were safely evacuated, and have since returned. TMZ was first to report the fire, which broke out in the kitchens of the hotel's 114 Faubourg restaurant at 11:00 a.m. Paris time while a Ready or Not 2 press junket took place in the hotel.

In an expanded statement shared with EW, Le Bristol communications director Fanny Crawford noted that the fire has been fully contained and extinguished, and that the hotel's staff, along with its guests, have safely returned. "The hotel, along with all of its outlets, with the exception of 114 Faubourg, has now reopened," the statement read.

The statement thanked firefighters and law enforcement "for their prompt intervention and professionalism," and the impacted guests "for their understanding, calm, and cooperation in response to this situation. The safety of our staff and guests remains our absolute priority. Our teams remain fully mobilized to ensure a return to normal operations under the best possible conditions."

Gellar, Wood, and Newton have not yet spoken about the fire or subsequent evacuation. In a video circulating on social media that appears to have been deleted from Newton's TikTok on Wednesday, the Abigail star and Gellar stand on the street and joke about the fire.

"The difference between how I escape a fire, and how Kathryn escapes a fire," Gellar humorously notes, gesturing to her sensible running shoes and Newton's high heels. Newton is dressed in an outfit she shared pictures in earlier before Ready or Not 2 press. "I never take them off," she says.

Newton's representatives did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment on the video.

Samara Weaving, star of the original Ready or Not who returned to lead the sequel, does not appear to have been present in Paris for the junket. EW has reached out to a rep for Weaving for comment.

But the Australian scream queen has already walked a harrowing road to get to the horror comedy's premiere.

Last week, Weaving revealed that she was left unable to walk after a "horrendous" back injury that only cleared up days before production on Ready or Not 2 commenced.

"Basically, I have a dead disc in my back and I had three bulging discs. It was horrendous. I couldn't move," she explained. Thanks to the love and care of her husband, Jimmy Warden, Weaving said that "miraculously, I came to life." But not before a "truly insane" scare that she wouldn't be able to participate in the film.
