Ransom Canyon fans have been waiting for more than a year for the show’s second season to debut on Netflix, and on Thursday, July 23, the wait will officially be over. All eight episodes of the neo-Western romance series will drop at once, making it the perfect summer weekend binge.
Ransom Canyon premiered Season 1 in April 2025, and two months later, it was confirmed that the series had been renewed for Season 2. But will there be more love on the ranch in our future? Below, we rounded up everything we know about a third season of Ransom Canyon.
Is Ransom Canyon renewed for Season 3?
No, Ransom Canyon has not been renewed for a third season yet. Those who want more should not be discouraged, though, as it took two months to get a Season 2 renewal in 2025.
During a recent appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, Ransom Canyon star Minka Kelly mentioned the possibility of a third season and said she’s “excited” to keep exploring what could happen for her character.
When does Ransom Canyon Season 3 premiere?
There won’t be a premiere date until after we get an official confirmation that Season 3 is happening. If the timing is the same as what we saw between Seasons 1 and 2, we’ll likely get Season 3 at some point during late summer or fall 2027.

We’ll have to wait and see how things turn out for our favorite characters in Season 2 before we know who has the potential of returning for a third installment, but the series’ leads, Kelly and Josh Duhamel, who play Quinn and Staten, are shoo-ins.
Lauren (Lizzy Greene), Lucas (Garrett Wareing), Kit (Casey W. Johnson), Yancy (Jack Schumacher), Ellie (Marianly Tejada), and Sheriff Brigman (Philip Winchester) have all appeared in the first two seasons. Patricia Clarkson and Heidi Engerman were added in Season 2 as Quinn’s mother and Yancy’s wife, respectively, but it’s unclear what their involvement will be in the future.
Is there a Ransom Canyon Season 3 trailer?
No, there is no trailer yet and there won’t be until much closer to the premiere date, should the series be renewed.
